Thousand Islands Quilters’Guild 2017 Show and Sale

A Ribbon and Cake Cutting Ceremony will take place to officially open the Thousand

Island Quilters’ Guild 2017 quilt show and sale, “Celebrating Canada, Reflections from

the 1000 Islands”.

This event will take place on May 26, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Brockville Memorial Civic

Centre on Magedoma Drive, Brockville. Honoured guests will include, Sir John A.

Macdonald, Mrs. Macdonald, MP Gordon Brown, and Mayor David Henderson.

The Thousand Island Quilters’ Guild is proud to support individuals and organizations

in Leeds and Grenville. The Guild, with 100+ members, donates quilts to offer comfort

to community members in times of need and makes financial donations to charities and

not-for-profit organizations with funds raised through the sales of guild members

handcrafted works.

Reporters and photographers are warmly invited to attend this community event in

honour of Canada’s 150th birthday and the Guild’s 30th anniversary.
